A few years after the US launched this program, Belgium followed suit, and the the UK> Today there are 34 countries actively taking part in this movement, and guess what, the Philippines is part of it!

It's simple, all you must do is refrain from eating meat once a week. it can be any day of the week, but just to make it easier, having one consistent day, such a Monday (and Meatless Monday is catchy too!) First of all, one day of eating all fruits and veggies won't hurt you, in fact it's great for your health! According to a Harvard University study, refraining from meat once a week decreases the risk of heart disease by 19% and also reduce the risk of diabetes. It's also good for the environment because it reduces the amount of fossil fuel used to raise livestock, making it win-win for everyone.  For more information on this movement, check out
